Hi I would like to thank Joanne in the NCT test center in Carlow, I was getting a car inspected for vrt and she could not have been more helpful, I was new to the process and I appreciate very much her guidance and patience. Once again the service was excellent.

Irate . . . angry . . . dissatisfied . . . . money making. Very small failure on the first test. A pass in all areas except one item. I was happy with that verdict - fair enough . . . This repaired at a good reputable garage (who told me the NCT was unnecessarily harsh, nothing wrong with the part to start with & basically saying i should break a part that was not faulty to begin with . . .). It was retested 2 days later & failed again on the same fault. A whole new section of pipe was fitted/replaced again at the garage. Retest again 2 days later - somehow it is now leaking brake fluid and a further fail. I\'d collected the car from the garage an hour before the test. There was no leak then . . . I want to know why this so-called leak was not spotted on the first test & again on the second test. If I had known about all the faults on the first test they would have been rectified. Surely a case of double standards. Money doesn\'t grow on trees . .. I cannot afford to keep laying out to the garage and the NCT centre for retest. Seems like a good way for you to recoup financial losses on not having full test. Furthermore Insurance will not cover a car that has no NCT Cert. Now i have to book again for a fourth test. Perhaps they\'ll find something else wrong that should have been spotted first time around.
